2Printbeta presents: New PLA and ABS

The last few months we were looking for a new PLA producer. Our requirements were high:

We wanted high quality PLA which can be printed without problems like blocking nozzles or melting PLA up to the extruder. The deviance or the 3 mm diameter should be as small as possible. It had to be a producer which can produce colored PLA on demand. And last but not least - the pricing should be acceptable.

Now our first order of the new PLA producer arrived.

We first got test pieces to make some test prints - and the quality was stunning.

It has an deviance of at least <0.05 mm - the producer says +- 0.01 mm. It melts where it should and stays stiff inside the extruder which also gets warm and may cause trouble with some sorts of PLA. This PLA is perfect for printing with a small layer thickness. Due to the small deviance of the diameter the flow rate stays constant - especially at very low flow rates required for printing with layer thickness lower than 0.2 mm.

For the first try we ordered 3 colors. But we are looking forward to extend our sortiment with some other colors. The pricing is acceptable compared to the excellent quality.

By the way we also bought some ABS from this company which seems to be of advanced quality in comparison to the ABS we used to print with.
